• Overview
From iconic center consoles to luxurious sport yachts, Intrepid Powerboats is known for building fast, sleek, and obsessively crafted vessels. They occupy a space few boat brands can claim: high-end performance with a highly tailored experience. We were tapped by MarineMax to reimagine the boat configuration experience and to establish a flexible design foundation—one that could not only power Intrepid’s experience, but also scale across future tools in their portfolio.
• Problem
Every Intrepid purchase is a custom experience, shaped by a wide range of performance, design, and configuration choices. The existing tools lacked true interactivity and weren’t built for speed, clarity, or scale. What Intrepid needed was a UX/UI framework that could balance flexibility, complexity, and ease of use—while also creating a foundation that could extend to other brands within the MarineMax portfolio.
• Solution
We developed a flexible, modular experience that allowed the customer to explore and configure their boat with clarity and confidence. Designed to support a wide range of models and customizations, the system streamlined complex decision-making without sacrificing depth or control. Every layer of the interface—from navigation to layout to visual hierarchy—was intentionally crafted to reflect Intrepid’s premium brand while guiding the user smoothly through the customization experience. The foundation we created was built not just for this tool, but for reuse and evolution across future digital initiatives.

• Results
The tool gave customers a clearer, more immersive way to navigate their options and shape a boat around their vision. It also established a design foundation that could be extended to other product lines and digital tools. By bridging technical complexity with design clarity, the system continues to guide broader efforts within the MarineMax portfolio.
